The purpose of this assessment is to examine the key elements of evidence-based practice. Evidence is based on statistical analysis. You will investigate key elements of statistical analysis for evidence-based practice. Is this evidentiary knowledge useful for clinical decision-making?

Introduce the reader to the content of this paper with an introductory paragraph.
PICOT: Create a clinical question in PICOT format to a problem identified within your present or former healthcare workplace. You can also use the PICOT clinical question you created in a previous module.
Next you will go through the following steps for each of the two articles, addressing one article in completion, then the other.
Article Identification: Locate two research articles related to your clinical question. These should be different from the ones used previously:
a systematic review
a randomized controlled trial
Key Elements of Analysis
Purpose. Why was the study done?
Sample. Describe the same and the sample size. Comment on the sample. Did the authors identify any sampling concerns in the article?
Methods. How was the data analyzed? Identify the statistical methods of each study and the data descriptions that were used. Describe the author’s comments or criticisms on their own methods.
Findings. Identify and explain the confidence intervals or statistical significance of each. Be sure to address the p-value and any summative numerical values reported.
Validity and Reliability. Are the measurements valid and reliable? Did the author address any comments on this? Do you have concerns about reliability or validity? Do the results fit with previous research you have read?
Clinical Practice. Address how the research has a specific meaning or application for clinical practice from the standpoint of social determinants of health.
Clinical Relevance. Discuss how each article lends support to the validity of your clinical question and your APN/APRN clinical practice. Address the relevance.
Finish your paper with a concluding paragraph regarding the examination of key elements of evidence-based practice.
The paper should be 3–5 pages in length, not including title and reference pages.
