Much Adoo About Nothing by William Shakespeare
1. Provide a summary of each of the Acts. Each act should be summarized, but make sure you include each of the important events in the Act.
2. Provide 4 songs for each act. These should be actual songs, and they should
somehow represent what goes on in that Act. For each song, provide a one sentence explanation of why
this song is included.
3. Create a speech as if you’re talking to the audience as the director. Point out 3 literary devices, themes,
or motifs that are in the play. For each literary device, discuss how it
is used in the play. Additionally include two quotes that show this device.
4. Discuss the characteristics of the comedy. You will list three characteristics that are
present in the play. For each, you will describe what it means, and you will discuss how it is used in the play. For each, you will find one quote that shows this characteristic.
