Instructions:
Review Everyday Conversations from DeVito 6.3, with particular attention to Guidelines for Making Small Talk.
Create four separate 60-second videos TikTok style. In each video, demonstrate a bad then a good example of the following:
making small talk
making an apology
giving a compliment
receiving a compliment
You can record your videos to YouTube, TikTok, or Panopto in the classroom.
Integrating DeVito citations into your response underneath each video, explain what you did right and wrong in two to four sentences per video
You do not need special software for this, but some people prefer apps such as Canva Links to an external site. (Link will open in new tab.).
If for any reason you choose not to create the videos, you can write a two- to three-page paper, not counting the title page and the references page, describing your good and bad recommendations.
(Chose to do the paper not the videos)
