One type of report that you are reading about this week is the Proposal. This type of report is persuasive in nature. There are many different types of proposals: formal/informal, internal/external, and solicited/unsolicited. “Much like a report, with several common elements and persuasive speech, a business proposal makes the case for your product or service. Business proposals are documents designed to make a persuasive appeal to the audience to achieve a defined outcome, often proposing a solution to a problem.” (Ashman, 2020, Part 5.5.4). Share with us an example of a proposal that you might need to write in your workplace (current, past, or future). Describe the type and purpose of the proposal. How would you research and plan the proposal? What types of information would you include?
