A 60-year-old new client was referred to the Dental Hygiene Care Facility because of his “bleeding gums”. Periodontal assessment reveals generalized 6-7mm of clinical attachment loss and slight mobility of the mandibular anterior teeth. He has two suspicious carious lesions in molar teeth and several restorations. He had bitewing radiographs taken 5 years ago and doesn’t want to wear the lead vest because “it’s uncomfortable.”
