- Instructions:
You do not have to do a detailed job analysis (such as identifying countless tasks and KSAO’s, nor rating and ranking tasks and KSAO’s). ?Use the following steps:
Identify someone (e.g., a family member, a friend, colleague, etc.,) that is working full-time.
Interview them for the job in which they are currently employed.
- Since they will be considered a subject matter expert (SME) in their job, you will need to identify and defend what makes them a subject matter.
Since you won’t have internal information (e.g., policy and procedure manuals, performance appraisal instruments, etc.) about their companyto give you background data, you may have to do research on the internet.
