Watch ANY film version of the play Hamlet.
2. Who is Hamlet to you? In your notebook, write half a page answering this question to yourself. How would you describe him? What kind of person is he, what type? How do you relate to him, or to this type of person? Do you personally know anyone like him? (Who? How/why would you say they are like him?) Do you like him as a person? Cite a meaningful quote from the play in your explanation!
3. Choose a second film to compare it to. You can choose any film that you’ve seen before. Watch this film again, thinking about your explanation of who Hamlet is as a person. Choose a film with a leading character that you relate to in the same way as you do Hamlet in your own explanation. In your notebook, write half a page explaining how this leading character relates to your explanation of Hamlet. *Your second film should NOT be another adaptation of a Shakespeare play. NO LION KING!
