where the end result will be a master’s project.
Even though most of the work is done independently, let’s introduce ourselves to one another so we have an idea of who is in the class.
For unit you are required to post an introduction in the Introduction discussion. Also you will discuss your project interests for the course. Please make sure you collaborate with your classmates on their ideas as well. We are all in this together, as the saying goes “graduation through collaboration!” Working with one another early on will help you better refine your ideas. This isn’t about proving how smart you are but instead about ensuring that your project has a real-world impact. It’s ok to not have all the answers right away so let’s collaborate and explore your ideas as a team.
After you have introduced yourself, please post your project topic here. The topic statement will give us an idea of where you want to take your project. It is the question or concept that you would like to address. For instance, will you be writing a grant for an organization? Will you be performing a needs analysis? Creating a new policy to address open carry for military recruiters? Evaluating a land swap on government land to address environmental issues and development? The privatization of a certain city service? After you have your statement, give us just a little more about how you think you might want to pursue this project. Which organization? You may find our library capstone site helpful.
