Prompt:
If you read this first scene carefully, you’ll note that there are a few topics that multiple women (at least 3) have in common. It could be their interests, their experiences, their tastes, their ideas, etc. Whatever it might be, you’ll see soon enough that there are a few topics that many of these women keep returning to—and one in particular that ties the entire play together!
In a FULL paragraph of examination and analysis, identify at least ONE topic of conversation that multiple guests at the dinner party address and then ANALYZE how that topic is addressed and why it might be of significance in our understanding of the play overall.
