HISTORICAL CONTEXT: Since the reforms enacted during the Great Depression government assistance has been prevalent in the United States. There has been legislation to help the less fortunate and young citizens of our country through government assisted programs. Despite the relief they provide, the size of government has only grown in size and above all has significantly increased putting stress upon state and federal budgets to extreme circumstances where change and reform is in most cases desperately needed.
TASK: You are a Representative from New Jersey . You are on the reform committee that is responsible for drafting and creating a new state supported health care policy and reforms to the social welfare system. Explain how you will alter and change the social welfare and healthcare systems in our state to make both more affordable and equal for all New Jersey residents.
