PART 1:  PEER-REVIEW ACADEMIC RESEARCH JOURNAL-MINDFULNESS & MEDITATIVE TECHNIQUES

  • The peer-reviewed journal article:The student will read the article posted below and write a brief literature review for an academic research study including the following components:
    • Write Summary: Identify the findings- The student will summarize the study including the topic of the research, key research information, and the conclusions.
    • Write Thoughts: Personal Analysis, Evaluation, and Explanation- The student will analyze, evaluate, and based on the new information, explain their past experiences to determine how they could have/should have implemented techniques/information to advance their subjective well-being with more positive outcomes either professionally, personally or both. (Professionally: includes school, an internship, or a job. Personally: includes inter/intrapersonal relationships)

Part 2: Professional Interview Video or Ted Talk

  • The student has been provided a Professional Interview and a Ted Talk, choose one.
    • The student will choose either the professional interview or the Ted Talk (not both) and write a review including the following components:
      • Write Summary: The student will summarize the professional interview or the Ted Talk. 
      • Write Thoughts: Personal Analysis, Evaluation, and Explaination-The student will analyze, evaluate, and based on the new information, explain their past experiences to determine how they could have/should have implemented techniques/information to advance their subjective well-being with more positive outcomes either professionally, personally or both. (Professionally: includes school, an internship, or a job. Personally: includes inter/intrapersonal relationships) 
      • Create Scenario: The student will create a new/future scenario or example of how to use this information to improve their subjective well-being.
