Focus:This week introduces the foundational principles of family-school partnerships, including Epstein’s Six Types of Involvement and the Overlapping Spheres of Influence model. Partnership Strategy Menu
Design a “Menu” of 6 family engagement strategies, aligned to Epstein’s Six Types of Involvement. For each strategy:
· Include a brief description of each strategy
· Identify the school stakeholder responsible for implementation
· Include one note about how families could provide input or feedback
· Include 1–2 strategies that show how the school respects families’ language, literacy, or educational goals
· Reflect how this partnership can evolve across a child’s developmental journey
· Optional: Use a table or digital flyer layout
