JOURNALS:

Journals are to be professionally written using the following format.
First paragraph- Describe one activity, event, or interaction in detail. This includes stating where the activity occurred, what happened, who was involved, and ages of children. Please use only first names of children. Be as objectively descriptive as possible; do not include opinion in this paragraph. Your course instructor may give you guidance in your writing or allow you to choose your own subjects on which to write.
Second paragraph- Discuss why you selected this activity, event, or interaction to write about. Relate it to one of the 6 NAEYC Professional Preparation and Competencies Standards which can be found in this module.
Third paragraph- Reflect on the activity, event, or interaction. What did you learn? What would you do differently? What would you do the same? What did you learn about being an early childhood educator? How have you grown as an early childhood educator from this experience? These are just examples of questions to use as part of your reflection; you do not need to answer them all. This is the place to write your opinions.

this happen in a kindergartens class ages between 5 and 6. I have watched as the children interact with one another as they learn their sight words at circle time. It is interesting to see how they do better a a group then by them selves. There are some that says the wrong words at times but their friends help them understand the right way to say the words. Even how they sound out the words had taught me a new way to sound out words. It is really neat to see the teacher and children learn the sounds of words. The roller costar was something I never heard of before and I see how it good it works. How can I word this for a journal.
