First, choose one story (Eudora Welty’s “A Worn Path”) from the works covered this term. Make sure it’s a story you have not written about previously. Then, using the Alabama Virtual Library (AVL) and the instructions for locating literary criticism, find two scholarly articles that discuss your selected story.
Next, create an annotated bibliography for those two articles. For each source, begin with the complete MLA works cited entry. (The AVL database will give you a correctly formatted entry when you click the “Cite” button at the top of the article page.)
After listing the citation, provide a one-paragraph summary of the article (approximately five to seven sentences). Your summary should explain the main points the author makes and describe how you intend to use the article to support your ideas in your upcoming writing project.
