For the week 7 project, please write a 1 – 2 page essay on how your denomination/church recognizes or identifies or accepts someone as being “called” into ministry. Is there a formal process that the called go through to assure their calling? Are there any steps an individual must take before being placed into ministry? It would be helpful if you can provide support for this from your congregation’s manual of disciplines or some other written or oral sources (so you might speak with your pastor about how the denomination/church recognizes this calling to ministry), but I also understand that many churches/denominations do not really have a formal process.
