Generally the options include participating in an activity, workshop or other event that is somehow related to our course, or an option that will benefit you as a student. The extra credit opportunity must be one of the options I send out to you.
After attending the event or workshop, you will need to verify your attendance and then write a summary of your experience in this discussion forum.
Documentation of your attendance may include having a workshop organizer send me an email to let me know you participated.
You may only submit one extra credit experience for a maximum 5 points.
Answer the following prompts in your summary
What was the name of the event you participated in? Where was the event/workshop and who presented it?
Describe specifically what happened at the event or workshop.
What was the most valuable part of the experience for you? What did you learn?
How do you think this experience could be improved?
Rate the experience on a 1-5 scale, 5 being the most valuable. Would you recommend this experience for other students?
Be sure to ask the presenter to email your instructor or scan and attach a note of your attendance signed by the presenter or other staff member organizing the event. Please include a contact number for the signer.
