Writing Exercise 1 – Introduction Discussion Board

Given that many of you will have just taken ENG 111, let’s take a focus in this discussion on Critical Thinking. After all, this class should be more of a critical thinking class than even a writing class.
For your initial post, consider a time in your life when you had to look at something a little closer to make sense of it. This moment might focus on a document, a longer piece of writing, a piece of art, a billboard, an experience in life, and so on.
When you’ve come up with the moment, write two fully developed paragraphs explaining it. In the first paragraph, use rich description and detail to describe the moment. In the second paragraph, explain your method of examining the moment and what you discovered as a result.
