The following questions are meant to generate some thoughts and insight on your perspectives of our healthcare delivery systems, in addition to the historical impact of healthcare delivery to ethnicities.
After reviewing the materials for the week, respond to each question in the discussion forum:
Describe the impact of a selected healthcare delivery system (hospital, clinic, federally qualified health care center, etc.) on a selected healthcare stakeholder (patient, family, nurse) from a practice perspective derived from your own personal healthcare experience.
Describe the historical health care given to different ethnic groups/races in the United States and how this can impact their health and the health care they receive today.
Class participation will be based on weekly participation in discussions. Participation will be measured for the quality (clarity, relevance, and factual knowledge) of contributions. You should use the week’s reading and scholarly resources, including assigned readings, to support your response. Initial posts in response to discussion questions are due each Wednesday by midnight and must be approximately 200–250 words unless otherwise specified.
