Write a short SUMMARY of Chapter 9 and the 4 fact sheets/statistics, 300-400 words in the comment section by 11 am CST on Saturday, July 22. Be ready to discuss senior poverty and specifically the following questions during the CHAT.
A. With the aging population continually growing and having increased health issues and the government not planning on a trend for people living longer which has occurred over the past 100 years, what do you foresee happening to seniors?
B. What might be some solutions to close the gaps in poverty between gender, race/ethnicity, and health status groups in the elderly and bring them all above the poverty line?
C. How can families of the elderly become part of the solution to bring them above the poverty line? What actions can they specifically take?
