Where do you see the bug’s role in media and literature?
Is the insect to be a personified hero with features that would be noble in a human? Or should the insect serve as a symbol whose biological traits represent various characteristics found in society?

Find a literary or visual text focused on insects as the main subject.
Once you have found your ideal form of insect media, it is time to argue its value:
- Discuss the literary value of the work you have chosen, explain how its place is rightfully among the other great examples provided by people like Thoreau, Gould, and Pixar.
- Clearly explain the narrative choices that were made in your chosen text.
- Why is this representation significant, what is its message?
