Joann should absolutely not talk with her coworker about her past history of cervical cancer. A person’s medical history is very private and they have the right to have their autonomy respected. By keeping the information to herself, Joann would avoid potentially offending or making her coworker uncomfortable. Joann should allow her coworker to control her own narrative and choose wether or not she would like to disclose her medical history on her own terms.
