Globally, the need for providers will continue to climb, making it increasingly difficult to address individuals’ health demands. In combination with telemedicine, nurse practitioners can assist in providing more care to more individuals. There is a tremendous demand for alternate methods of providing care. Telehealth has the potential to assist individuals in meeting their health needs on a worldwide scale. It is an innovative method of providing treatment from a distance, making it simpler to serve groups that might otherwise struggle to receive traditional care in a clinic environment. Telehealth can increase access to healthcare for more people, and the fact that it is accessible to anyone with an internet connection makes it simpler for people to obtain the treatment they require.

Barriers to the use of telehealth on a global scale include strict regulations and restrictions and lack of insurance coverage (Doraiswamy et al., 2020). Additionally, lack of internet access can also impede care. These barriers to care can preclude many global patients from getting the care they need.

Due to the recent world events, the need for innovative ways to provide healthcare has become even greater. Telehealth and telemedicine have been a focus in healthcare even before the pandemic, but this major change in the world has fueled the growth of telehealth services globally. Due to the pandemic, there are now fewer restrictions and regulations, making providing more telehealth services to a greater population easier. In order to best facilitate the world’s access to healthcare, we would want to make the internet available in more locations, as well as relax legalities governing the transferring of information so as to allow for the best care as needed.
