Respond to the following:

Do you believe that patients typically are aware whether it is the UAP or licensed nurse that is caring for them?

The scope of practice of a nurse and a UPA varies depending on the state where we are, which is why although there are standards we will not always find fixed functions for each member of the nursing team. The nurse has the duty to properly delegate the tasks to each member of her team not only not to commit a rape but to provide the best care and the best care to her patients. As everything in this life there are different types of patients, we are going to meet patients who have no idea what chain of commands the infirmary follows or by whom the team is made up so this type of patient will not know what there is a UPA or an RN, he only cares about recovering. While we are going to meet patients who think they know everything and will come to question whether the delegations are appropriate, these patients will be aware of the slightest change of personnel in their care. The difference between an RN and a UAP is very large in how many years of study, Training and Education. Right circumstance, Right Person, Right direction/communication, right supervision/evaluation are some of the Tips to delegate correctly according to “River Academics”. Working as an RN is a great responsibility, it is not only in our hands to properly care for our patients but to check that both the UAP and the LPN that are under our supervision do their job correctly in order to guarantee the full care of our patients. The main responsibility is to promote the recovery of the people we serve as health professionals is to respect and promote their inherent value and dignity, and to protect the professional integrity and therapeutic nature of our relationships with patients is for this and other things that the “Boundaries, Ethics, Scope of Practice” strictly adheres to follow the ethics principles.

The relationship between the nurse and the patient is paramount, it is the basis of nursing care and aims to meet the health needs of the patient who receives this care, the key include communication, active listening and respect according to “Definition and characterization of the nurse-patient relationship – PubMed”. Knowing this, we will not only provide the best care to our patients but we will know how to meet their needs and medical care as well as appropriately delegate a health care staff trained to assist you.We cannot ignore the function of educator not only with and for the patient but for the family of this one who plays a very important role is their care and recovery. Being another very important aspect that a nurse and a UPA must take into account when providing care.

                                                                                                            Conclusions:

Regardless of whether or not our patients are aware of the roles and functions of the Nursing Team, it is our duty as a registered nurse to correctly delegate the tasks to our work team. Knowing and following the Scope of practice of a nurse will make our work a pleasant place where we will achieve the satisfaction and correct care of our patients.
