Module 1: Introduction to Technical Writing
In this module, you read about the six principles in the code of ethics as defined by STC (Legality, Honesty, Confidentiality, Quality, Fairness, and Professionalism). Select one of the principles and explain why this principle is important in your own words. Describe with at least one example what would happen if a technical piece did not follow that principle.

Submission Instructions
· Your reflection should include an opening paragraph, content, and a concluding paragraph (at least three paragraphs).
· You must present your writing double-spaced, in a Times New Roman, Arial, or Courier New font, with a font size of 12.
· Pay attention to grammar rules (spelling and syntax).
· Your work must be original and not contain material copied from books or the internet.
· When citing the work of other authors, including citations and references, use APA 7 style to respect their intellectual property and avoid plagiarism.
· Remember that your writing must have a header or a cover page that includes the name of the institution, the program, the course code, the title of the activity, your name and student number, and the assignment’s due date.
· Review the rubric to determine how your assignment will be graded.
· Your assignment will be run through Turnitin to check for plagiarism. Please check your results, make any necessary corrections, and resubmit a revised copy if the system identifies issues. If you are new to Turnitin, review the information in the Student Resource Center about it.
· Submit your assignment by 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday.
