The client presented with Bipolar II Disorder symptoms. She has been experiencing these symptoms for about a year now. Client is experiencing hopelessness, worthlessness, decreased libido, and was having suicidal ideations. However, she also experiences moments of high energy, optimism, and positive thinking but these last about 3-4 days of the month, otherwise she is experiencing negative emotions and symptoms. Connie reports a hospitalization and she was prescribed Lithium, she is on a lower dosage right now because of her pregnancy. Client is married and has three children and is pregnant with her fourth. She is a homemaker and her husband is the financial provider of the home. He travels for work and they recently moved to a new city because of his job. They have been here about a year, with the move Connie lost her support network and does not have any social interaction outside of her husband at this time. Client needs increased social support to help bolster her sense of self and redirect her toward a healthier lifestyle, as she has had in the her previous cities.
