The patient was admitted to the ambulatory care unit of the hospital for a planned total abdominal hysterectomy for continued postmenopausal bleeding. Shortly before surgery, the patient developed arrhythmias and the surgery was canceled. After evaluation of the arrhythmia, the patient stabilized and discharged.
