Write a paper from a process improvement perspective that:
• Examines and analyzes the selected operational issue
• Discusses possible root causes of the operational issue
• Identifies and explains 3-4-tools, techniques, and/or strategies covered in the course (textbook, lecture, or reading materials) that could be used to address the operational issue
• Proposes 3-4-well-researched solutions to address the selected operational issue and explains some of the possible second and third-order effects associated with the solutions. Links solutions to the root causes
• Explains how at least one supply chain or inventory management concept covered in Module 7 (textbook, lecture, or reading) might be useful in addressing the issue and/or improving the quality of care
• Briefly, addresses (1-2 paragraphs) ways to overcome resistance to needed change and the leadership skills required to obtain system-wide “buy-in” and cultural change in a healthcare organization
