Use Canva to design your menu. You are making a menu for a celebration or an event, so this menu can be formal, or informal. If it is a celebration of children, it would be informal. If it is a wedding or new year’s celebration, it would be formal. Design a dessert menu that is appropriate to the event you have chosen.
Choose 6 dessert items for your menu. In your menu, describe each of the dessert items clearly, as if you were selling the items to a customer. Four of these items will have special components:
One will have a chocolate component.
One will have a special ingredient.
One will be allergy free.
One will be considered a healthy choice.
The other two desserts are up to you.
Answer the following questions:
What establishment does this menu belong to?
What is the special occasion you have chosen to make a dessert menu for?
For each dessert item you have chosen:
Why did you choose this dessert item for your menu?
What makes this dessert item special? For the unique ingredient, why is this ingredient special? How is it used in your dessert item?
How is your menu item influenced by trends, or seasonality?
You can answer these questions in two ways:
Option 1: In the body of your menu that you designed on Canva, answer the questions in 1 paragraph.
Option 2: After designing your menu on Canva, create another document in Word to answer the questions for each of your menu items.
