Write the history of a book. Don’t choose anything too complicated (the Bible, for example) or too simple. Trace the book’s history from its first publication in manuscript or print to the present day, describing the material changes it has undergone, changes to content, changes in mode of publication, changes in readership, and the like. Explain how these changes have affected the interpretation of the book.
