In this assignment, you will identify one of two senators who represent you in the U.S. Senate and gather some basic information about that person. Here are the instructions:
Go to the website for the U.S. Senate (senate.gov). Under “Find Your Senators” in the top left corner, use the drop-down menu to select Texas. This will load a page listing the two U.S. senators from Texas. Choose one of them, and click into their web page. Use the page to find the following information about them. You may use additional web sources if you want. Be sure to write down the information.
- Educational background
- Profession before getting elected to the Senate
- How long have they been a senator
- All cities in Texas where they have offices
- A brief description of one bill they supported
Just to be clear, when you’re done, you should have one list of five items with the person’s name at the top.
