Lifespan Development Presentation (Collaborative Assignment)

In small groups of 4 or 5 depending on class size, choose a topic that interests your group related to a developmental issues such as intellectual disability, childhood and adolescent obesity, autism, cognitive decline with age, fetal alcohol syndrome, bullying, blended families, midlife crises, Alzheimer’s disease or etc. The goal of the project is for you to increase knowledge or interest in pertinent topics/ issues of the lifespan. The small group is responsible for developing a 12-15 page presentation adhering to APA style formatting (with in-text citations). The presentation should include the following:

1. Title page with each group member’s name

1. Description of the problem / topic of investigation (review of the literature)

1. Why this problem / topic is important

1. Relevance of this problem / topic to minority populations or diverse cultures

1. Prevention and intervention strategies outlined in the literature

1. Conclusion summarizing the project including your personal perspectives and thoughts about the future of this topic

1. References (at least 8 references, 4 of which must be peer reviewed articles within the last 5 years).

The PowerPoint should be submitted in the assignment section of Week 7.
